The Story So Far . . .

Farncombe Boys was born.  Founders Trish Moorey and Janet Longhurst created two teams for their sons at Under 10 and Under 11.  We now have 24 teams playing from Under 7 to Under 16, plus a busy nursery squad!

Funding to pay for league entry was achieved through 'guess the number of buttons in the jar' and a jumble sale which raised £11 and £88 respectively!

The teams play in a Sky Blue Coventry kit.

The Nursery Squad, run by Mike O'Sullivan, first started.

The Tuck Shop was created, operated from the boot of a parent's car.

Meades Park was purchased from Surrey County Council for the sum of £32,250 plus legal costs etc.  £11,000 was raised by the Club and, combined with grants of £17,000 from the Bowman Trust, SE Regional Sports Council, Godalming Town Council, Godalming Lions and Godalming Round Table, and loans of £13,000 from Surrey County Playing Fields Association and SE Regional Sports Council.

The Club's colours change to navy and red due to the purchase of some Barcelona kit that 'was going cheap'!

The clubhouse was built and opened.

The club name was changed from Farncombe Boys to Farncombe Youth to reflect the inclusion of girls.

FYFC secured a grant from the Football Foundation to build the changing room block.  The aim was to encourage more adult teams to use our facilities hence the need for four full size changing rooms plus facilities for referees and the disabled.

To commemorate it's 30th birthday, a special game was organised between a selection of original Farncombe Boys who lined up against a Chelsea FC XI.  Farncombe won!

Further development at the Club with the building of the Manager's Store.

FYFC hosts its first international match which saw Sealand beating Alderney 2-1.

The clubhouse is refurbished.

FYFC celebrates its 40th birthday!

Car park expanded with a grant from Godalming Town Council to reflect the growing number of members at FYFC!
